He obtained his degree in Economics in 2003 from the Faculty of Business Administration at Corvinus University of Budapest. In 2005, he earned a Master's degree in International Management from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS). He obtained a law degree in 2007 from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. In 2024, he earned a PhD from Corvinus University of Budapest, with his dissertation titled: "Analysis of the Capital Structure of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, with Consideration of Entrepreneurial Attitudes."
He began his career in 2002 at Tungsram Lighting Ltd., followed by a role at the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he participated as a consultant in several M&A (merger and acquisition) projects, including the reprivatization transaction of Budapest Airport.
From 2010, he served as Deputy State Secretary for Taxation at the Ministry of National Economy, contributing to the reform of the Hungarian tax system. He later became Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) and a member of the Monetary Council. During his tenure, the Funding for Growth Scheme was introduced, and he played a key role in modernizing the central bank's monetary policy toolkit.
Between 2015 and 2020, he was Chairman and CEO of MKB Bank, as well as Chairman of its Board of Directors. Under his supervision, and later leadership, the bank was transferred from Bayerische Landesbank to the Hungarian state and, following a complex reprivatization project and transaction, to private and institutional investors.
From July 2020 to May 2022, he was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Opus Global Plc. Under his leadership, the company successfully executed two large-scale energy acquisitions, acquiring majority stakes in Tigáz Ltd. and Titász Ltd.
He also served in executive roles on the boards of MKB Pannónia Fund Management Ltd. and Solus Capital Venture Capital Fund Management Ltd. In addition, he was a member of the supervisory boards of Status Capital Venture Capital Fund Management Ltd. and Opus Global Investment Fund Management Ltd.
Since 2016, he has been a board member of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and since 2024, its Vice President. Since 2020, he has also served as Vice President of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
