dr. Levente Kovács

He obtained his degree in economics from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and earned his PhD at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Miskolc, where he also completed his habilitation in 2012. He has worked in the banking sector since 1995, beginning his career at CIB Bank Ltd., then serving as Director of Product Development at HypoVereinsbank Rt., followed by Managing Director of Corporate Marketing at Budapest Bank Rt. In 2002 he joined GIRO Zrt., the Hungarian clearing house, first as Development Director and later as Managing Director for Business. From 2006 he was Deputy CEO for Business at KDB Bank (Hungary) Zrt. Since 2011 he has been Secretary General of the Hungarian Banking Association. In addition to his banking roles, he has served as Head of Department at Tomori Pál College and later at the University of Miskolc.
